If you’re looking for a great way to increase your website’s Search Engine Ranking, while also increasing your customer flow, a good start includes getting your business listing into as many online local business directories as possible. Not all of them will have “follow” links to your website, but they will help customers find your business, and do help reinforce your viability with search engines. At a minimum, these are the 50 directories we’d recommend you get listed with!
We’re getting closer to the world of 3D Printing! The latest update from Adobe gives us more capabilities in Photoshop CC for 3D printing design and application – as printers from MakerBot and others become more affordable and mainstream.
Not only that, but if you don’t have a 3D printer, Adobe has made it easy to use SketchFab and other online solutions to share your printable models – so you can order your 3D printed objects from vendors.

Read the original report on Google by Sergey Brin and Lawrence Page – the school project at Stanford University that began the Search Engine mecca you know today.
This amazing article, a shorter version of their entire project, is still original and unedited.
Amazing to consider that Google originally contained a database of 24 million pages, on 109gb of disk space. By comparison, most home computers now come with 500gb of disk space!
Today, it’s reported that Google contains an index of over 45 billion pages! [source]
Though Google has changed a lot since then, if you’re interested in the base of how they pioneered the Search Engine industry, this is a great read. If you’re into Social Media, Page Rank, how to get better ranking in Google, or Search Engine Optimization – this is a necessary read!
We Built This World Wide Web. Look at what we’ve accomplished. To you, it’s just web development. Creating websites. Search Engines. Something about hashtags and cat photos.
To us, it is a land of opportunity. But it wasn’t always this way. From the evolution of generation after generation. Text Pages to Streaming Video. Geocities to Gmail. The internet in your pocket. Yes, time’s have changed. But there was no template. Web developers across the globe paved the way, and for this, we salute you.
This video will inspire you. If you work in web design, hold your head high.
If you watch one thing today, watch this. “This is Water” is an animation short from the graduate speech by David Foster Wallace, an award winning American novelist. It might put your world in perspective, but further the video artfully illustrates the speech in perfect harmony, bringing the words to life as 9 minutes of your life blissfully gain meaning.
The speech is brilliant, but what makes the video a success? Creative animations combined with typography of a certain hand drawn looking slab serif font. This creates branding through the video, with the typography helping set the mood and keeping focus on the meaning of the words, while still being artful in presentation.
